Angelina Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt stepped out on Monday night to the 77th Annual New York Film Critic’s Circle Awards in Manhattan. Angelina skipped her usual flowing gown for a much more sexy black pencil leather skirt paired with a loose button down blouse. Her partner Brad Pitt, who received an award for Best Actor in ‘Moneyball’ and ‘The Tree of Life’, looked dapper minus the cane. Angelina revealed to OK Magazine that Brad’s injury came after he was protecting their three-year old daughter Vivienne from injuring herself on the slopes during a recent ski vacation.
“Everything becomes such a huge thing doesn’t it? Vivi’s okay. She was absolutely fine. He took the fall. It was just to make sure.”
Michelle Williams Upset Over Twitter Backlash
Former Destiny’s Child star Michelle Williams has been hit with a barrage of insulting and inquisitive tweets as to why she has not congratulated Beyonce and Jay-Z via Twitter on the arrival of their baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter. Beyonce delivered her baby girl on Saturday night and has since been bombarded with congratulatory tweets. Many twitter fans were not too impressed that her former band mate Michelle didn’t tweet a word.
After enough offensive tweets, the usually reserved Broadway singer took to her Twitter page to set the record straight.
“Let’s get ONE thing straight….I do NOT have to say congrats to someone when they’re NOT on twitter…ESPECIALLY when I talk or email them all the time….or when I’ll be physically present as well…so harassing and stalking my timeline to see if I’ve mentioned something is POINTLESS!!!”
After suggesting that Beyonce Knowles’s certified Twitter page is a fake, the former Destiny’s Child member may have inadvertently offended others while releasing her tirade of sorts. There were a slew of celebrities who chose to congratulate the new parents through the social networking site. Rihanna and Gwyneth Paltrow are two notable celebrities/friends of the couple who responded with well wishes for the “Love On Top” singer specifically.
“My friendship with people aren’t always for twitter display. Respect that and get a LIFE!!! Enjoy this FINE day!!! God bless!!!!”
Williams ended with, “”This is a beautiful, precious, private time between two people and excitement is to be expected but NOT disrespect! #churchdismissed”
We like that Michelle didn’t feel the need to congratulate Beyonce and Jay-Z via Twitter. Do you think responding to critics via Twitter helped her argument though?
