Blue Ivy Carter: Hospital Denies Beyonce's Baby Caused Any Issues

UPDATE-Beyonce and Jay-Z’s welcomed their daughter Blue Ivy Carter on Saturday night at Lenox Hill hospital to much fan fare. But as happy as the new parents may be, they’re being blamed for causing heartache to other parents who were allegedly prevented from seeing their children.

Jay-Z who allegedly purchased an armored car for his daughter to travel in spared no expense when it came to the security of his wife and child.

When your parents are Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z, the likelihood of any normalcy surrounding your birth is presumably not going to happen. So, having security tight enough to prevent any snoopy strangers from getting close (or taking first snapshots) doesn’t seem far fetch.

Reportedly, the mega-star couple, secured an entire floor for $1.3 million, covered cameras with tape, and had the staff to forfeit their camera phones to ensure privacy when Beyonce delivered her baby. Though this may have been the perfect set-up for the 30 year old mother, some others are singing a different tune.

“They just used the hospital like it was their own and nobody else mattered,” raged new dad Neil Coulon, whose efforts to see his premature, newborn twins in the NICU were disrupted by the birth of little Blue Ivy Carter.

A rep for the hospital told the NYDN she hadn’t personally heard of any complaints.   Most recently rep for Lenox Hill Hospital just released a statement trumping the previously believed rumors. “The suggestion that the couple paid $1.3 million to rent an entire maternity floor is simply not true.” Continuing with, “The family is housed in an executive suite at the hospital and is being billed the standard rate for those accommodations.”

The rep did however confirm that Beyonce and Jay-Z did provide their own security but said security was still under their control: “The family does have its own security detail on site. However, the hospital has been and continues to be in control of managing all security at the facility. We have made every effort to ensure minimal disruption to other families experiencing the births of their own children over the past three days.” Wow!

In another update state health officials stated they would not investigate Lenox Hill because they did nothing wrong.

“Staff spoke with the hospital [and] determined there were no violations,” Michael Moran, a representative for the New York State Health Department, said in an email statement to ABCNews.com. ”And we have received no complaints.”

Blue Ivy Carter is finally here albeit under tight security and incessant rumors, but we hope Beyonce is recovering well and that other parents are able to see their newborns without hassle. Welcome Blue!
