Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy spread leaked prematurely a couple weeks back, causing the owner, Hugh Hefner to release the official issue early nationwide, calling it a “a stocking stuffer.”
Apparently, the Playboy plan is working or the “Mean Girl” actor’s fans are very supportive because the edition is selling very well. Yesterday, Hefner tweeted yesterday, “The Lindsay Lohan January-February Double Issue is breaking sales records,”
A rep for the Playboy says, “I can tell you that sales of the issue are doing well, but it’s too soon to release any numbers.”
“I have no idea why there is this fascination with everything I do”, Lohan said in the interview for the magazine, but on Saturday, Lohan tweeted, “Playboy on stands now! I was so nervous! I hope people like it 🙂 and pick up a copy!!! * ….xoxo” in an attempt to help boost sales.
