Terrence Howard Denies Estranged Wife Michelle Ghent's Claims He Threatened To Kill Her

Terrence Howard is refuting claims that he threatened to kill his estranged wife, Michelle Ghent and also threatened to throw her off a balcony in South Africa.

Ghent’s court documents, which were filed back in February of this year, according to TMZ , accuses the Oscar-winner of physically abusing her saying he “slugged me across my face and neck,” threw her down to the ground in a parking lot and even chipped her tooth with his wedding ring.  Terrence married Michelle Ghent in February 2010.

Howard is now ordered by a temporary restraining order to stay 100 yards away from his estranged wife until the couple’s next court hearing on Jan. 17.

But it appears the 42-year-old wifebeater wearing, Hustle and Flow actor  is strongly holding to his position that he is no wife beater. The Iron Man actor wasted no time responding with his own filing of legal papers, claiming he has never threatened his wife, and that she is out to ruin his Hollywood reputation.

“I live in constant fear of Michelle’s endeavors to ruin my reputation; even providing this declaration may well lead to my being subjected to a paparazzi blitz which would not be good for my career,” the actor wrote.

Terrence goes on to claim  Ghent may be looking to “release private materials to 3rd parties for her own personal financial gain” – materials that include, among other things, a video of a nude Terrence Howard singing in the shower.
