Comedian Patrice O’Neal, 41, died Tuesday morning following complications from a stroke he suffered last month.
Patrice is well known for his frequent guest spot on ‘Opie & Anthony’ radio show on Sirius XM in addition to several late night spots on Conan O’Brien, David Letterman and Comedy Central.
Patrice’s agent Matt Frost confirmed the news with the following statement,
“It is with terrible sadness we must report that Patrice O’Neal has passed away this morning…due to the complications of the stroke he suffered on October 19.”
“Many of us have lost a close and loved friend; all of us have lost a true comic genius.” Frost added.
Last month O’Neal was one of the many comedians and celebrities on hand for Comedy Central’s celebrity roast of Charlie Sheen.
Sheen stated after hearing the sad news,
“I will forever be inspired by his nobility, his grace and his epic talent. Patrice had that rare ‘light’ around him and inside of him.”
According to TMZ, Comedy Central has just revealed they will re-air Patrice O’Neal’s stand up special ‘Elephant in the Room’ twice tomorrow at 8pm and again at midnight.
Patrice leaves behind his mother Georgia, wife, Vondecarlo, his step daughter Aymilyon and sister Zinder.

Demi Moore Meets With Pal For Dinner Post Ashton Kutcher Split
Demi Moore confirmed her divorce from Ashton Kutcher just two weeks ago on November 18th. Since the announcement Demi has been relatively quiet even missing her youngest daughter Tallulah’s debut at her debutante ball in Paris. Demi’s first husband Bruce Willis along with their other two daughters Rumer and Scout were in attendance. Back in LA Demi was mending her broken heart with the help from a friend, platonic pal Eric Butterbaugh.
Butterbaugh who was spotted together with Ashton and Demi in the past managed to convince Demi to join him for a dinner date at Sunset Tower.
A witness at the restaurant observed that Demi “seemed fine, in a good mood and laughing. She was just with her friend having a nice night out.”
Another source added to Us Magazine, “Demi looked good, and like she was ready to be seen out. She was in deep conversation with her male companion.”
This is a positive turn of events for Demi who shocked the public with her increasingly thin frame leading up to her divorce announcement.
Demi also reemerged on Twitter the day after Thanksgiving, using her same handle @mrskutcher, “Why do we have only 1 day for giving thanks? Is that why so many people feel unappreciated? Make this 1 of 365 days of Thanksgiving!”
