UPDATE-Oscar winning actress Jennifer Hudson gives a candid interview to Ebony magazine about the tragic murders that left her without her mother, brother and nephew, Julian King. Since the 2008 murders, Jennifer has remained relatively quiet.
Earlier this year, Hudson briefly told former talk show queen Oprah that the moment after was surreal. “It’s such a shocking thing and it’s a lot to take in.” Jennifer also had to deal with vicious and ridiculous Illuminati rumors claiming she sacrificed her family!! But perhaps the most heart wrenching of them all is Jennifer was suppose to be at home with her family before her fiance David Otunga booked her for a last minute trip to Florida.
In Ebony’s December/January issue, Jennifer states, “That’s one of the things that saved my life, because I could have been home with my mom then.” “[Otunga] wanted me to come out to Florida with him instead of going to Chicago.”
“I flew out to see him; that’s why I’m still here. I’ve never said that before, and I can’t believe I just said that now. But I didn’t know. He was just like, ‘I’m going to this wrestling thing, and it’s in Tampa. I’m going out there now, so you can come out there and see me versus going home.’ ”
In that split second decision, Jennifer Hudson may have saved her life. She told Oprah in 2009, “The only thing I can do to honor them is to make them proud.”
