Conrad Murray Guilty; Herman Cain Accuser Hires Gloria Allred

Update-Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty while Herman Cain and a fourth accuser battle it out with celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred.

Murray was found guilty of manslaughter in the death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

After 10 hours of deliberation the 12 jurors unanimously agreed that Dr. Conrad Murray was the sole cause of Michael Jackson’s death. Murray administered a fatal dose of Propofol, a powerful sedative normally used for surgical operations. While Murray’s defense team tried in earnest to paint Michael as suicidal and administering the Propofol himself, it was too little too late. Witness after witness painted Murray as a doctor who didn’t have his patient’s best interest at heart.

According to Yahoo News, a bodyguard testified Conrad didn’t call paramedics soon enough and even tried to hide evidence. Even Murray’s girlfriends hurt him in the end when all three (yes three) testified they spoke to Murray the same evening of Michael’s death.

After the verdict was read the family’s reaction remained consistent.

Katherine Jackson told TMZ,

“We have been waiting for this moment for a very long time and we couldn’t hold back tears of joy in the courtroom.   Even though nothing can bring back our son, justice has finally been served!”)

“Justice. Justice was served. It wasn’t enough time though. Michael was with us,” Jermaine Jackson told Headline News.   Rebbie Jackson added, “I’m just happy it’s over with. Nothing will bring [Michael] back, but I’m happy [Murray] was found guilty.” La Toya added, “Thank you America, thank all the fans, thank the prosecuting team, everyone was great. Michael was in that courtroom, that’s why victory was served.”

But was it and for whom?

Dr. Conrad Murray will be sentenced on November 29th.

Herman Cain is certainly raising Cain these days as the republican front runner yet again faced public sexual harassment accusations from his first verbal complainant, Sharon Bialek whom many are questioning given her past legal and financial troubles accompanied with the fact that she selected infamous Hollywood attorney Gloria Allred!

That’s right ladies and gentlemen. The 2012 presidential campaign is barely underway and it’s already resembling a Hollywood soap opera as Sharon Bialek acknowledged today during an interview on Good Morning America that although she has experienced financial and legal difficulties in recent years, they were “absolutely not” related to her decision to come forward and detail her encounter with Cain which occurred fourteen years ago.

“I was not paid to come forward, nor was I promised any employment. Nothing at all,” I’m just doing this because it’s the right thing to do.”

However, Cain’s campaign signaled that they will seek to undermine Bialek’s credibility by highlighting those troubles and although Bialek is a registered republican, Cain’s staff also seeks to use the Democratic Party ties of her lawyer, Gloria Allred as further evidence regarding her true motives.

An NBC News review of court records show that Bialek’s legal problems stem from two personal bankruptcies, an Internal Revenue Service tax lien, a cutback in child support, and a civil judgment against her last year for an unpaid $3,539 loan that is still outstanding.

Bialek, a single mother with a 13-year-old son, also denied that anybody from any rival campaign encouraged her to speak out against Cain in an effort to damage his candidacy.

According to ABC news, Allred, who frequently represents accusers in celebrity cases (such as Tiger Woods mistress Rachel Uchitel), told reporters on Monday that she had sworn affidavits from two separate accusers including a doctor who was Bialek’s boyfriend at the time and a businessman who affirms that Bialek told them about an encounter with Cain shortly after it took place. However, Allred has declined to release their names making it fairly difficult to verify their accusations.

Bialek’s comments came just hours after Cain vehemently denied her graphic account that he sexually groped her and sought to have oral sex when the two met in Washington by telling her “You want a job, right?” expressing to TV host Jimmy Kimmel that her story was “totally fabricated.”

Wow, he must have missed the Tiger Wood debacle where Allred helped Uchitel secure a hefty settlement whose amount reached the upper millions. Sounds like Cain better ready his patience…and possibly his check book if he intends on leaving this scandal unscathed.
