Critically acclaimed French director, Guillaume Canet, is set to adapt the French film, Les Liens Du Sang, into a new movie entitled ‘Blood Ties’. The movie is the story of two brothers, one of them a cop and the other an ex-pimp who have just been released from prison.
Taking on the role of one of the brothers will be Mark Wahlberg (there is no word on whether he will be the cop or the ex-pimp). Also in talks to star in the movie is the sexy Zoe Saldana who was most recently seen in Colombiana. Her role in the movie has not yet been announced.
This would be Guillaume Canet’s first English speaking film, however he has been a huge part of the critically acclaimed French films, Last Night and Tell No One. There are no details on when ‘Blood Ties’ will go into production but it is looking for a 2012 release.
