Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, MGM and Sony Pictures Entertainment have partnered up to deliver a funny 21 Jump Street remake, which is scheduled to open in theaters on March 16, 2012. The original television program ran for five seasons from 1987 to 1991. The series was based on a young looking undercover police unit who would infiltrate high schools in order to control crime.
The remake is an action-comedy starring the actors Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Their characters join the Jump Street unit and go undercover in the local high school. Risking their lives to investigate a dangerous drug ring, they realize that high school is not the same as they left it a few years ago. During their investigation, they are confronted with the latest issues of what it means to be a teenager of a younger generation. Directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the film also stars Ice Cube, Dave Franco, Rob Riggle, and Brie Larsen.
