Actress Halle Berry did not attend yesterday’s hearing of her alleged stalker Richard A. Franco. Los Angeles Superior Court judge Melissa Widdifield ruled after a preliminary hearing that Franco will stand trial.
Franco is accused of stalking Halle and intruding on her private property three times in three days! Reportedly Richard also stole a key to Berry’s guesthouse when she briefly stepped away to the main house. Soon after Halle spotted Franco outside her kitchen door, locked her door and called the police.
The Los Angeles detective on the case John Gregozek reported that Franco was arrested on all three occasions. He found the key and a notebook that contained references to the Oscar-winning actress.
Berry filed a restraining order in July telling the judge,
“This person has invaded and trampled upon the most fundamental sense of security I have, and I am extremely frightened of him and what he might do to me or those I love.”
Richard A. Franco believes he’s innocent and has plead not guilty while remaining in jail on a $150,000 bail.
