Update-Nicki Minaj and her fake hubby rapper Drake, just dropped another collaborative effort, Make Me Proud. The single will be featured on Drake’s sophomore album Take Care which is slated for a November 15th release.
Speaking of sophomore albums, Nicki reportedly only wants hit records. Can you blame her?! After Nicki’s mega success with Super Bass, the unsuspecting single that propelled debut album Pink Friday into another stratosphere. Nicki simply wants to triumph her previous success.
Her producer from Pink Friday, Florida producer Kane Beatz tells MTV News,
“She wants hit records every time and she wants to be creative. With Nicki, it’s more about getting the music right and leaving her the room to be creative and leaving her room to do her.”
“It’s crazy. We got one so far. She’s in L.A. goin’ crazy.”
So when will Nicki’s sophomore album drop?
“She just started, so she’s really picking her music and picking the songs. She’s real selective. She’ll pick all the beats before she even starts writing, so right now, we’re just getting music together, and it’s goin’ crazy right now.”
