Jessica Alba is suing the company behind a popular weight loss device targeting women who have had babies — The ‘Fantastic 4’ actress claims her name and likeness were used, without permission, to push sales of The Belly Bandit.
According to the lawsuit, Jessica insists the company has “prominently featured a photograph of her, and listed her name under the ‘Celebrity Testimonials’ section of their Website.”
Jessica Alba also claims the Belly Bandit’s packaging contains an endorsement that says, “Jessica Alba’s #2 Secret for a Fast Post Pregnancy Slimdown!”
Alba’s lawsuit is seeking over a million dollars in damages — and also a portion of the cash The Belly Bandit raked in using her name.
