Update-Beyonce has been forced to respond to allegations of plagiarism while her rep responds to rumors a fake pregnancy. Beyonce has responded earlier today to the allegations of plagiarism on her Countdown music video from choreographer Anne Teresa Keersmaeker.
“Clearly, the ballet ‘Rosas danst Rosas’ was one of many references for my video ‘Countdown.’ It was one of the inspirations used to bring the feel and look of the song to life.”
“I was also paying tribute to the film, ‘Funny Face’ with the legendary Audrey Hepburn. My biggest inspirations were the ’60s, the ’70s, Brigitte Bardot, Andy Warhol, Twiggy and Diana Ross. I’ve always been fascinated by the way contemporary art uses different elements and references to produce something unique.”
On top of squelching yet another accusation of plagiarism, Beyonce is facing fresh charges of plagiarizing her own pregnancy!!! Sigh, ever since the pop star revealed her pregnancy on that fateful night at the VMAs rumors flew rampant that Beyonce used a prosthetic to reveal a “bump”. The two prevalent accusations are: 1. Beyonce and Jay-Z are using a surrogate to carry their child. 2. Beyonce is pregnant but she’s exaggerating how far along she really is.
But if we can all assume she is indeed pregnant and not paying a surrogate mother to carry her child. Or that she is pregnant but not as far along as she proclaims, we can enjoy her to Harper’s Bazaar about marriage life, carefully planning her pregnancy and rocking some stilettos in the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
On her maternity attire:
“All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman. It’s been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant.”
“Flowy fabrics are always flattering..but I still rock my stilettos.”
On carefully planning her pregnancy and building up her relationship with husband Jay-Z for 10 years:
“It was important to me that I gave myself time to focus on becoming the woman I want to be, building my empire, my relationship, and my self-worth, before I became a mother. Now God has blessed us with the ultimate.”
On Jay-Z:
“We have been together since I was 20 years old,” explains the Countdown singer. “We took our time and developed an unbreakable friendship before we got married.”
“We focused three years on our marriage and found that it brought us an even stronger bond and connection. But like anything great and successful in your life, marriage takes hard work and sacrifice. It has to be something both you and your husband deeply want.”
In the event that Beyonce is pregnant, her careful planning and dedicated thought to a process that will change the lives of all involved is admirable.
What do you think of the Beyonce pregnant or not pregnant rumor: absurd or a possibility? Update: Beyonce’s rep says this of the fake pregnancy rumor: “stupid, ridiculous and false.”
