Update-Simon Cowell is searching for X Factor ratings and what better way than to attack the top selling pop stars?! Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry were targeted by Cowell when he labeled all three “boring”.
Of course Cowell is also a master of marketing, X Factor was practically buzzing every week up until it’s premiere last week. Tonight of course is another jaw dropping episode of the talent show where Cowell and his crew are not looking for someone Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry….? Compared to American Idol, X Factor’s numbers are less than impressive and Cowell is attempting to drum up some interest.
“If you only ever heard Lady Gaga, she’s the most boring singer in the world. You’ve got to see her–you need TV.
“Same with Beyoncé. Or Katy Perry,” he continued. “We’re all about image. You have to have that X Factor,” says Simon.
Lady Gaga – boring? Strip away the antics of all three singers and lets throw in Rihanna and Nicki Minaj for good measure – are they boring? And more importantly do their legions of fans really care?
