Lindsay Lohan arrived in court today for the preliminary hearing for allegedly stealing a $2500 necklace. Lindsay arrived with an optimistic outlook as news surfaced earlier in the day that her felony theft charge would be reduced to a misdemeanor and she would likely skip out on jail. Lindsay’s charge were reduced but the judge ruled that she violated probation and it went down hill from there. According to TMZ, Lindsay was sentenced to 120 days in jail and ordered to complete 480 hours of community service.
After some damming evidence from the jewelry store owner and another employee, the judge agreed that Lindsay failed to follow up with the store owner after they made repeated calls for the return of the merchandise.
This news comes on the heels of Lindsay Lohan fighting her way back into the “Gotti: Three Generation” film and hoping to rebuild her career. But alas the price we pay for our mistakes often comes at the most inopportune time.
