Phaedra Parks is downsizing. After owning two Atlanta-area homes since October 2016, the former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is down to one after selling a house for $950,000.
The four-bedroom, 4,453 square foot Chastain Park mansion built in 1988 sold earlier this month after Parks knocked the $1,195,000 price tag down to $1,050,000 in May,which she snagged in 2013 for $845,000. When the mystery buyer purchased the home, which was initially put on sale in November 2017, they got another $100,000 removed, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Parks isn’t left with a lesser dwelling, however. Before getting fired from RHOA, she bought a home double the size of her old one. The new Buckhead house was purchased for $1.9 million and sits on two acres at 9,175 square feet.
The Atlanta-based attorney was kicked off of the Bravo reality TV series she starred on for seven years when she admitted during the season 9 reunion that she spread a rumor she heard about Kandi Burruss supposedly wanting to drug and rape Porsha Williams in her “sex dungeon.”
While the cable network does not disclose salaries, the AJC speculates housewives make well into the six-figures and when Parks was no longer making that, it didn’t make sense for her to own both homes. And while it seemed she may have been cutting ties with the new, bigger mansion after she placed it for lease, she swiftly ended up rescinding it.
Online, fans have been reacting to news of Parks selling the home in which she filmed RHOA.
“She barely flipped a profit after all these years.”
“@nouralomani she got desperate after it was on the market for so long.”
“As long as there is a profit what’s the problem 🤷🏽♀️?”
“Naw! .. money ain’t the issue .. she wants to start a new life .. in a new setting .. got too many skills.”
“Why she needed 2 homes anyway?”
