The Order of National Hero, the highest Jamaican honor, was conferred on Norman Manley after his death.
The Norman Manley Law School in Mona, Jamaica, is named after the famed politician and lawyer.
To date, he is the only Caribbean leader to have a law school named after him. The Norman Manley Law School opened its doors to its first students in September 1973.
The Norman Manley Award of Excellence has been established and is presented annually to Jamaicans who have given distinguished service to their country.
