Mariah Carey Makes Dislocated Shoulder Sexy With Blinged-Out Arm Slings

Singer Mariah Carey isn’t letting her dislocated shoulder keep her from performing as she had some fashionable, custom arm slings made that glammed up her limp arm in rhinestones and feathers.

Carey was scheduled to perform Saturday night at the MLB All-Star charity concert in Central Park, but after she dislocated her shoulder on July 7, many people thought that was about to change. Apparently they don’t know Mariah Carey too well.

The R&B diva refused to let the injury keep her off the stage, so she had some special arm slings made to coordinate with her dresses for the evening – and yes, I said dresses.

As painful and difficult as it may be to change ensembles with this type of injury, Carey did it anyway… three times. You can’t say she isn’t dedicated to the music.

The mother-of-two flaunted her slim and trim figure on the Great Lawn in form-fitting gowns and coordinating arm slings that proved she knew how to “get creative” when she needed to.

“I’m not in the best of health here,” she announced to the crowd. “It was us getting creative.”

Of course, like a true performer she had to get the crowd’s reaction to the fashion statement.

“Is this working? Do we like it,” she asked the crowd as she showed off the accessory.

Two of her gowns for the evening were white and she wore white arm slings to go along with the look – one that was bedazzled with gems and sparkles and one that was covered in plush white fur.

Her third gown was an all black number that she paired with a green-tinted feathered arm cast that definitely added a diva flair to the outfit.

Dressing up the injury didn’t mean the pain wasn’t there, however.

“I’m sorry if I was a little emotional before,” M.C told the crowd. “I’m in a tiny bit of pain.”

She did manage to pull through the rest of her set and belt out her new single, “#Beautiful” before a massive fireworks display closed out the evening.
