The Atlanta Business Chronicle is reporting that two Georgia universities, and more specifically two Atlanta universities, were ranked among the top 100 in the world – Emory and Georgia Tech. The schools ranked numbers 81 and 87 respectively on the 2012 World University Rankings.
Saudi Arabia-based Center for World University Rankings bases the list on seven factors: educational quality, faculty quality, alumni employment, publishing, faculty research citations, influence and patents.
Three American colleges — Harvard University, MIT and Stanford — claimed the top spots on the list followed by Cambridge and the California Institute of Technology.
