The Weinstein Company just released a new image featuring Leonardo DiCaprio as the slavemaster, Calvin Candie. This is the role he’s playing in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. Most of the images that were released shows him as a larger than life character laughing, drinking and having a good time. This image captures a more sinister side of the character, puffing on a pipe.
Candie is the slave owner who stole Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), the wife of Django (Jamie Foxx). After Django is enlisted by a bounty hunter named Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) to hunt down a notorious group known as the Brittle Boys , Schultz promises him help in retrieving his wife .
The film’s ensemble cast is made up with Samuel L. Jackson, Don Johnson, Jonah Hill, Billy Crash and M.C. Gainey.
