Retired NBA star Shaquille O’Neal aka Shaq, has teamed up with TruTV and the makers of America’s Funniest Home Videos to create a new show that features the funniest online videos, pranks, and original sketches. TruTV ordered 10 episodes of the series, which will begin airing November 1st.
One of the first original viral videos to be featured is The Preachers Wives. It’s a spoof on the widely popular shows Basketball Wives and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In the trailer below, the sketch features actors Shari Headley (Coming to America), GloZell Green, Nika Williams, Laila Odom, Skye Marshall and David Spates. It’s directed by Laugh at My Pain director Leslie Small.
Shaq’s Comedy network is geared towards an urban audience featuring popular comics such as Gary Owen, Godfrey and their funny commentary on Pop culture.
