The Muppets 2 team has cast Modern Family actor Ty Burrell to star in the sequel to the 2011 film, The Muppets.
Burrell will play the role of an Interpol inspector, a part that Inglourious Basterds star Christoph Waltz was originally slated to play.
The Muppets 2 will be more international, as the Muppets will journey off to explore Europe. Director James Bobin, who was at the helm of The Muppets, is returning and just like the first addition, The Muppets 2 promises several cameos.
The Muppets made over $158 million worldwide. It starred and was co-written by Jason Segel, who will not be returning for The Muppets 2.
Watching Burrell parade around with Kermit will be an awesome site to see. He won a 2011 Emmy for his role as Phil Dunphy on the successful ABC comedy Modern Family. Beside The Muppets 2 and his TV work, he will also star in two upcoming independent comedies — The Skeleton Twins and Switch.
