Mariah Carey showed off her new curves as she hit the orange carpet for the Nickelodeon Halo Awards, and the diva stayed true to her title as Nick Cannon revealed she usually avoids diaper duty.
Ever since she gave birth to her adorable twins, Monroe and Moroccan, Mariah has lost over 70 pounds and got to show off her new body during the Halo Awards.
The carpet may not have been the red one that Mariah is used to, but she certainly stole the show in a floor length Balenciaga dress paired with Gucci shoes and Paolo Costagli jewelry.
The Halo Awards – which stands for Helping and Leading Others – was founded by the new American Idol judge’s husband Nick Cannon and focuses on honoring teens who have done outstanding work to help communities all across the world.
The night was certainly supposed to focus on the kids, and we’re sure it did – once everybody got inside and was seated.
As far as the walk down the orange carpet, however, it was all about Mariah.
While other stars – who are certainly no strangers to the orange carpet like Nickelodeon’s Victorious actress Victoria Justice – opted for more fun and quirky looks, Mariah kept it classic and elegant in her gown that hugged her figure just enough to show off her amazing new body.
The 42-year-old R&B songstress has become the new face of Jenny Craig and has served as living proof that the diet program can certainly work wonders.
With a new body and a young husband, the 32-year-old host of America’s Got Talent, the “We Belong Together” crooner has certainly remained quite the diva and Cannon admitted that he usually doesn’t get much help with changing diapers at home.
The Halo Awards founder sat down with Anderson Cooper on “Anderson Live” and revealed that the twins are “running the house.”
“We are running and chasing after them and then my wife is being the diva that she is,” Nick explained. “I am trying to keep up with them.”
We are less than surprised that the twins are “running” things considering the fact that they celebrated their first birthday in a luxury hotel in Paris decked out with expensive wine glass and gourmet Parisian baked good.
The 70-pounds-lighter powerhouse singer is ready to do whatever it takes to spoil the twins, but when it comes to changing diapers she draws the line.
When Cooper asked Nick about who has to take on diaper duty the most, the television host replied, “Me… I mean we all do it, but for some reason I get that duty a little bit more.”
Whenever the diapers are already clean, however, she certainly has no problem spending all day with her adorable tykes and Instagramming photos of her little ones all over Twitter.
