Beyonce’s girl crushes are on the rise from first lady Michelle Obama to Rihanna. Next up to declare their love for the 31-year old pop star is Harlem rapper Azealia Banks.
During an interview with Rolling Stone at Fashion Night Out where after promoting her new lipstick Yung Rapunxel, Azealia talked about her idols in the business,
“Aaliyah. And I love Beyonce – she’s the queen of everything. She’s the most remarkable performer and musician. And this is just my humble opinion, but I just think she’s better than everyone else making music right now.
I met her – and I cried! It was so embarrassing. It was at the Met Ball. I was f-cking around with Kanye and she was sitting there, chilling and eating dinner. I freaked out. And I realized she saw me being a dummy and I started crying. Then I saw her expression, like, “Girl, get your sh-t together.” I had to walk away and get myself together and pat my face, then come back to properly say hi! And if I meet her again someday, I’ll probably cry again.”
Cute. Luckily Beyonce isn’t selfish with the love and shares some of her own as well. The latest recipients are U.S Open champions Andy Murray and Serena Williams. Two great champions who made the finals a nail biting event. The “Love on Top” singer apparently took time out from her yacht vacation off the coast of France with baby Blue Ivy and hubby Jay-Z to catch the action. She shared this post from her website,
