Katy Perry didn’t consider moments beyond her performance at the 2012 Much Music Awards in Canada when she decided on the nude bodysuit with grandiose butterfly wings and conspicuous diamond details.
The over-the-top performer is always up for the challenge to stand out, but having to accept an award in her over-revealing nude catsuit proved to be embarrassing for the pop singer.
“I had no idea that I was going to win an award after I performed or I would have worn more clothes.”
The sparkly number was reminiscent of Jennifer Lopez’s opening tour catsuit.
While Katy rocked the fit flawlessly onstage performing “Wide Awake,” she looked completely distressed as she accepted her award. The 27-year-old later used the long, slender black award to cover her derriere as she exited the stage.
Though Katy probably would have revamped her barely-there nude ensemble, the “I Kissed A Girl” singer arrived on the carpet in a black, hero action figure frock that she looked thrilled to be in.
The animated singer donned a dark wig with purple highlights, and a black and gold bustier gown, but her main attraction were her eight mini-mes she brought along dressed as a character from past videos.
The little girls had outfits, makeup, and Katy Perry hair to look the part—super cute!
