Basketball Wives' Jennifer Williams Gains Support From Star Jones

Basketball Wives season four has brought fourth many surprises, one of which is Jennifer Williams break out moment away from her former bestie Evelyn Lozada. It was believed that Jennifer ‘changed’ and began taking on a new group of friends namely Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes. Williams admits to changing and her reasons are straight from NeNe’s playbook – since she too has suffered the criticism of ‘changing’.

“For the record, I have changed. I am striving to be an independent woman and I am building a future for myself. I have zero time or tolerance for BS.”

Sounds familiar? NeNe recalled similar sentiments with her cast mates who accused her of allowing the fame to change her. Williams continued,

“Fame has never been a weakness of mine but by watching this show I can’t say the same for all the ladies.  I just hope everyone can recognize what is really important in this life because Basketball Wives will not always be the HOT thing… Then what???”

That came from the latest entry on Jennifer Williams’ blog where she also spoke on the hot topic of the moment – Nia Crooks attack and the police report that followed. Williams tried her best to explain how her friendship with Nia deteriorated,

“First up, I never had an issue with “the assistant” up until that day. At one point, we were good friends. There had been some incidents leading up to why I started pulling away from the friendship but I don’t feel the need to blast that information. However, the most important reason why I eased up on the friendship is because she started working for someone who refers to themselves as my “enemy.” To me being good friends would just cause the situation to be messy so I rather fall back.” Makes sense.

On the topic of taking legal action Jennifer kept it simple,

“If you put your hands on someone, there will be repercussions. End of story…”

UPDATE: Jennifer has received virtual support from Star Jones, a former prosecuting attorney, who says she has every right to take legal action.

“And the thought that the woman from #BBW who was smacked doesn’t have the RIGHT to file assault charges is LUDICROUS! You NEVER give up your right not to have your ‘person’ intentionally assaulted unless you are participating in an agreed physical activity.

Does Jennifer need to explain her actions to anyone?
