Showtime’s The Big C has added another big-name actress as a guest star for its upcoming third season.
Award winning actress, Allison Janney (West Wing) has booked a guest arc in the cancer survivor dramedy. Janney will play a Hollywood producer who wants to buy Cathy (Laura Linney) and Paul’s (Oliver Platt) life story to adapt into a feature film.
The Big C has already enlisted Oscar winner Susan Sarandon to play Joy, a cancer survivor who is using her unique life experience to inspire and motivate others.
Aside from Sarandon, Janney joins Emmy Nominee Victor Garber as the three big-names lined up for season three. Garber will appear in the premiere as a hater for Sean (John Benjamin Hickey) when an accidental phone call “leads to a harassing situation.”
Working Allison Janney, a four-time Emmy winner, into the cast should be no big deal as the Showtime drama has a history of booking big names to augment the Cathy character.
The Big C premieres on Sunday, April 8 at 9:30 p.m
