‘Tyler Will Say One Thing Behind Closed Doors and Another In Front’: 50 Cent Seemingly Ends Feud Between Tyler Perry and Mo’Nique But Fans Are Not Convinced

Rapper 50 Cent appears to have made some progress in his mission to get veteran actress and comedian Mo’Nique back on Hollywood’s good side. Just days after publicly calling on Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry — whom Mo’Nique claims were behind the fall of her career — to apologize, the New York rapper claims he spoke to Perry, who appears to have agreed to end his feud with the “Phat Girlz” star.

The “Power” co-creator took to his Instagram account Tuesday, March 15, where he claimed, “I talk to Tyler today he told me he never told anyone not to hire @therealmoworldwide and he is happy I decided to work with her.”

The “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” emcee also alleged that Perry said “he couldn’t speak for Oprah but he is sure she is fine with monique and has even brought her up for things monique has no idea about.” Fif appeared elated with the recent update, writing, “I’m so happy for Mo right now! GLG GreenLightGang. She Back.”

While the music mogul continued to be showered with praise for his efforts in restoring Mo’Nique’s status in the business, not everyone seemed convinced. As Atlanta Black Star has previously covered, Mo’Nique revealed during an interview with TS Madison that she spoke with the “Alex Cross” star who reportedly admitted fault in their long-standing dispute.

However, when allegedly approached by comedian Kevin Hart, Al Sharpton and others, Perry reportedly retracted his initial offer, telling those who came to him about the discussion that “I don’t want to revisit that,” Mo’Nique has said previously.

“Then he calls back and says I will meet with Mo’Nique but not with her husband and then she had to apologize to me and Oprah Winfrey for saying we had anything to do with ruining her career,” the 54-year-old said at the time. “Now that was recent.”

Critics online said they would need more than a social media post from Fif to sway them into believing that Perry was genuinely ready to hash things out. “I ain’t gone lie, we need to hear both of them say it. In an interview. On camera,” wrote one skeptical Instagram user. “Right because we’ve seen Tyler will say one thing behind closed doors and another in front,” another responded.

A third person commented, “Mmmmm… I don’t know – I need a sit down interview with all three!” A fourth social media user wrote, “If messy and doing the right thing was a person gotta love 50.” Perry has yet to confirm or deny the claims made by Fif.
