‘Come on Skin’: Angela Simmons Stuns Fans with Her Radiant Appearance

Angela Simmons looks like a glowing goddess in recent photos.

The “Growing Up Hip Hop” star left fans stumped this week after she showed off her natural beauty. She took to Instagram on Labor Day, Sept. 7, and posted an up-close photo of her face. The natural beauty zoomed in on her dewy, makeup-free skin, while gazing into the camera.

“Learning … Growing …. Evolving 💫 #EyesSay1000wordsWithoutWords,” Simmons captioned the snap.

Fans were obsessed with how healthy the reality star’s skin looked and flooded her with compliments.

“Come on skin!! 🔥🔥”

“wow ang😍 Just naturally beautiful❤️”

“Lol I hope we cross paths lol u looking guud girl🤞🏽😄 extra sexy”

“Skin always on 💯 girl whats the secret”

Simmons’ natural beauty photo comes four months after she launched her skin-care line, Simmons Beauty.

The mother of one told Page Six in May that she spent most of her time perfecting her skin regime while sheltering in place during the coronavirus pandemic. She apparently created her products by hand and launched the line on May 25.

“I have been doing a lot of facials and detox stuff,” Simmons said. “I’ve been using samples of my serum that is coming out as well. [And] I have a bunch of masks that I do try out.”

Simmons noted that she’s always been adamant about taking care of her skin and plans on releasing her skin-care regime in a book soon.

“While being in quarantine, obviously skincare and taking care of yourself is super important.,” she told Black Enterprise in late May. “And I’ve always been big on my skin and like what I do with it, and I’ve just never really put anything out there. And so I feel like now’s the time to share my secret.”

Details about her upcoming book’s launch date have yet to be revealed.

Simmons’ recent glow may also be the result of her new love life with boxer bae Daniel Jacobs. The couple confirmed their relationship in August after Simmons shared photos of herself and Jacobs on their way to a wedding.

It’s unknown how long they’ve been dating, but the pair seems happy.

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
