Hot girl Megan Thee Stallion is already blazing the summer as her latest single, “Savage” remix featuring Beyoncé, snags the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
Whether her fans are “classy, bougie, ratchet” or feeling the pain of Queen Bey as they hop to put jeans on, Megan made sure to give them all the thanks.
In her May 26 announcement on social, Megan shouted out her fans by writing, “Hotties we’re number 1 on billboard and number 1 at urban and rhythmic radio 😭🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🐎🔥 thank y’all. We did this sh-t together. Shout out to everyone who’s been going hard for these wins 🙏🏽 #realhotgirlsh-t”
Throughout the spring months, Megan has had thousands of followers and fans shimmying their way across social with the Savage TikTok craze.
Even celebrities like Tamar Braxton, Safaree Samuels and Tammy Rivera had to get in on the craze with their own versions of the popular dance.
“Queen you deserve it😍”
“HOUSTON WON. TALENT WON. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥”
“So proud of you meggggg @theestallion”
“The htown hottie finally getting what she deserves 😍❤️❤️ we love to see it”
Since the record’s April 29 launch fans have not been able to sit still anytime the record comes over the airwaves or is used as the background music to any social post.
With their shared Houston hometown connections, collaborating with the music industry’s reigning queen was a dream.
“But in the back of my head I just always knew that at some point in my life I had to do a song with Beyoncé,” said Megan during a May 1 interview with Hot 97’s Ebro Darden.
“She’s somebody that really inspired me too, so just to know that Beyoncé even has heard any of my music, or has watched me as an artist come up, doing what I’m doing, and that she’s rocking with me enough to even do a song with me, that’s really something that touched my heart. I’ve looked up to Beyoncé since I was young,” she added.
Still floating on the high of landing at the top of the charts, Megan soon may have to make good on a promise she’d made to fans.
“Sis where is the cash sh-t video/film????? You said we would get it if Savage went #1 😭,” one fan said after Megan said she would drop the video for her hit single “Cash Sh-t” featuring DaBaby.
