It’s possible that photos of Carmelo Anthony on a boat with another woman last week ended his marriage to La La Anthony.
Although the “Power” actress hasn’t filed for divorce yet, her rep told People that it’s a great possibility. The representative also revealed Melo and Anthony haven’t been living together, even though they rekindled their marriage in 2018 after splitting one year prior. The couple also has a 12-year-old son named Kiyan.
“As La La and Carmelo have been living apart for quite some time, La La is proceeding with legal discussions as the next step in their relationship,” explained the representative. “They will remain loving and committed parents to their son.”
Melo hasn’t responded to the rep’s statement yet, but he spoke out after the boat photos surfaced. According to Melo, the woman is just a friend, and her husband was with her. The former New York Knicks forward also took the media to task for sharing the images.
According to Page Six, the woman on the boat is named Sara Smiri, who’s a 28-year-old model.
But even before Melo was accused of cheating with Smiri, he’s been tied to a woman named Mia Angel Burks, whom he allegedly has a lovechild with. In fact, Burks had something to say about the boat photo, and she mentioned their putative child.
“N—-s out here explaining how they’re laid up on a boat with another man’s wife but can’t explain why they can’t spend time with their daughter,” wrote Burks on Instagram Stories last week.
La La Anthony, meanwhile, is incredibly busy with her career with a role in the reboot of “Beverly Hills, 90210” and she’s partnered with 50 Cent for the upcoming Starz series “Intercepted.”
“She’s doing great,” said the representative. “She’s busy working on several projects and being a devoted mom to her son.”
