A wave of engagement and wedding rumors surrounded “T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle” actress Toya Wright this week after people swore up and down they spotted a ring on her wedding finger.
The reality star posted a photo of herself getting dolled up for her “Friends and Family” green-screen confessional. She sported a bright red blouse while posing for a selfie amid getting her hair and makeup done.
“Feelin’ Peachy today 🍑,” she wrote via Instagram, posing seductively for the camera.
Her beauty was of course praised by fans, but that was quickly over shadowed when they got distracted by the wedding ring photographed.
“Love the 💍!! You trying to tell us something..”
“OMG she jumped the broom?! Atlanta housewives here she come!”
“Robert and Toya coming soon as a married couple. I see the bling chile its beautiful! U bouta jump da broom huh……..well CONGRATULATIONS!”
Wright quickly shutdown marriage and engagement speculations, writing in the comments, “It is beautiful but that’s not mine. That’s my hairstylist ring.”
Folks didn’t buy Wright’s explanation, feeling she was trying to downplay her alleged engagement. One fan even commented, “Girl that’s your ring stop lying!! Stop running from that man and commitment! Girrlllll that’s your husband the real one!🙌🏼❤️ he love you and it shows.”
However, the gag is that the hand shown in Wright’s photo, isn’t even hers, it’s merely her hairstylist clearly brushing her hair back from her face.
It’s not surprising fans assumed the 36-year-old mother of two was married. Her storyline on this season of “Friends and Family Hustle,” has been centered around her fear of marrying long-time companion Robert “Red” Rushing after her previous failed marriages to rapper Lil Wayne and music producer Micky “Memphitz” Wright. She divorced Wayne in 2006 whom she shares 20-year-old daughter Reginae Carter with and music producer Mickey ‘‘Memphitz’’ Wright, whom she divorced in 2016.
The 36-year-old and Rushing, who’s the owner of 2 Commas clothing brand, first began dating in 2017 and welcomed their baby girl Reign Rushing into the world on Feb. 8, 2018. It was rumored the couple had gotten married, but Wright confirmed this season on “Friends and Family Hustle” that she and her partner are apparently holding off on marriage for the time being and are focused on their current business ventures such as their “Weight No More” 5K walks.
