Cynthia Bailey met her boyfriend Mike Hill last season through Steve Harvey and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star wants to clear some things up.
Bailey appeared on a dating segment on “Steve” in the spring and chatted with three potential suitors who were vying to become the model’s boyfriend. She wound up choosing Hill when she identified with his “quest for peace and happiness.”
Harvey explained his involvement in matching the pair to Entertainment Tonight in September noting Bailey was initially going to go for another guy.
“Cynthia Bailey was going to pick somebody else,” he said to “ET”. “I told her, ‘You’re not picking that guy, you gon’ pick this guy [referring to Hill].”
“I talked her into him, they started dating. … So now it’s pretty serious and they’re exclusive. She’s found somebody that’s she’s crazy about,” he added.
When Bailey appeared on “Steve” for an update on their relationship Wednesday, Nov. 14, she made it clear that it wasn’t all Harvey who made things happen.
“You just can’t take all the credit, Steve, now,” Bailey says. “‘Cause you have been like, ‘I did that, that was all me.’ Now, we did have to work this thing out. But he was very consistent. He was very consistent throughout the whole time.”
Then, Bailey’s Fox Sports 1 reporter boo from California brought up the fact that Bailey was initially going to go for an Atlanta-based attorney.
“I keep telling women, yo soulmate, it don’t matter to this man where you live,” Harvey says.
And Hill, whose mother and brother live in Atlanta, was more than willing to pay for his girlfriend to fly first class to visit him on the west coast.
Fans who caught the lovey-dovey pair’s appearance swooned at their union continuing to go strong.
