A young genius has embodied Black boy joy by excelling tremendously in academics and landing college opportunities at just 11 years old.
Prodigy Elijah Preccieley of Baton Rouge, Louisiana was home-schooled by his parents and taking courses at Southern University Honors College. He was awarded a full scholarship to attend and be a student at the university according to KSLA 12.
Preccieley has also been accepted into the Honors College and will be a full-time student in the spring of 2019. The young boy along with his parents will take part in a special signing ceremony on May 25 with the Board of Supervisors.
The board’s president Ray L. Benton will be present at the event beside other staff members. The 11-year-old intellect will be receiving official Southern University headgear during the occasion.
