MSNBC host Joy Reid was not entertaining guests who wanted to go off script yesterday morning. “I am going to put you on pause for the minute”, she told Conservative Commentator Stephanie Hamill.
In the midst of a discussion panel talking about Trump’s “sh**hole” comments he made in reference to African and Haitian nations, Reid asked Hamill what her feelings were regarding his remarks.
“Joy, we didn’t actually hear him say those words,” Hamill responded. “This is the biggest fake news story of the week. It’s interesting to sit back and watch people are so angry about what that the president didn’t say.” Things quickly escalated when Hamill insinuated that people are more angry at Trump than the Clintons, who she claimed are getting rich off of poor Haitians.
“People are so angry about what that the president didn’t say, and they are more angry than they are at the Clinton’s. You can ask Klaus Eberwein, the former Haitian government official that has all the dirt on the Clinton Foundation– oh, wait, you can’t ask him because he mysteriously committed suicide the day he was supposed to testify”, Hamill expressed.
The entire panel was dumbfounded by Hamill’s remarks, but Reid quickly stepped in.
“Did you get talking points before you came here from the RNC or the White House? It’s interesting that yesterday Mark Burns, who was the surrogate we had on on the Trump side yesterday, tried to roll out the same Clinton stuff”, Reid said.
As Hamill tried to continue on with her rant, the AMJoy host swiftly put her on mute.
“I don’t know you, Stephanie, but let me explain this to you: this is not Fox News. But what you’re gonna do is throw out crazy conspiracy theories to try and take us off track”, Reid conveyed. “I’m going to put you to the side and go to my other guests because they are more familiar with the way that we do things here.”
