A new report released July 1 reveals Africa has untapped energy resources that could provide electricity to millions of Africans across the continent.
In the report from CCTV, the President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, explains that Africa generates nearly 11 terawatts of solar power that is not being used to its fullest potential.
There is an abundance of hydro, geothermal and wind power that could solve many energy issues on the continent, the expert says.
Adesina and the African Development Bank plan to increase manufacturing that will contribute to continental GDP and provide electricity to remote locations in need.
