In an interview with Birmingham, Alabama’s WVTM 13, a pastor says that churches should take it upon themselves to stop Black-on-Black crime.
Pastor Michael Jordan tells reporters that gangster rap and a lack of role models is responsible for Black homicides. He has even posted on the church marquee: “Lord please stop Blacks from killing Blacks.” Jordan says that young Black men don’t respect authority.
Birmingham police report that last year, 95 to 98 percent of the city’s homicides were committed by a Black male.
