Ben Carson on Lynch Tying LGBTQ Issues to Black Suffrage: Everything Is Like ‘Slavery and Segregation’

Former Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson scrutinized Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s comparison of Black and LGBTQ issues on Monday’s edition of Your World with Neil Cavuto.

Lynch held a press conference Monday telling media members that the Department of Justice will sue North Carolina because of a state law requiring transgendered people to use the bathroom of the sex on their birth certificate.

“We saw it in the Jim Crow laws that followed the Emancipation Proclamation. We saw it in the fierce and widespread resistance to Brown v. Board of Education,” Lynch said.

Carson responded with this statement:

“Everything is like Jim Crow. Everything is like racism and segregation and slavery. What a bunch of crap.”

However, Carson did compare Obama’s healthcare plan to slavery while on the campaign trail. Then the neurosurgeon said this:

“Go back to recognizing data and science. You know, we know what men are, and we know what women are, and we’ve known that for thousands of years.”
