A Brooklyn, New York teen learned that he will get a full-ride scholarship to the country’s most prestigious university, Harvard.
Ethan Ambrose is a senior at the Brooklyn-based Medgar Evers College Prep School. Ambrose learned Wednesday that he will be the recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation scholarship. It will reportedly cover all four years of his time at Harvard. The scholarship also automatically makes him eligible for $50,000 per-year for grad school.
“I was so overwhelmed with emotion, I was at a loss for words,” Ambrose told reporters at the Brooklyn Paper.
The young man can also use the funds for study-abroad trips and other expenses.
