First lady Michelle Obama showed solidarity with the families of Nigeria on Wednesday, tweeting out a photo of herself holding a sign, “Bring Back Our Girls.”
Nearly 300 Nigerian schoolgirls have been abducted by the Islamist extremist group Boko Haram, which is threatening to sell them into slavery.
President Obama’s administration faced public criticism after remaining relatively quiet for over two weeks following the kidnapping. Obama has now pledged to send technical experts and other assistance to Nigeria to help find the girls.
