Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber was given a speeding ticket in Los Angeles after driving on a freeway at speeds in excess of 100 mph, reportedly to evade paparazzi.
Bieber’s account was confirmed by a Los Angeles City Councilman, Dennis Zine, who witnessed the chase. Bieber’s distinctive chrome Fisker Karma was being chased by five or six other cars, said Zine, a former LAPD officer who said the speeds exceeded 100 mph.
California Highway Patrol Officer Ming Hsu says Bieber was cited for driving in excess of 65 mph at about 10:45 a.m. on Friday morning, after calls came in complaining of a freeway chase on southbound U.S. Highway 101 near Studio City.
