Dwyane Wade had a great game Thursday night as he led the Miami Heat over the Los Angeles Clippers 102-97.
In their third straight win, Wade scored 29 points, and LeBron James added 18 with an injured back.
Wade had seven assists and made 13 of 22 shots, which helped the Heat build momentum in the fourth quarter to hold off the Clippers in the final minutes.
“Everyone said he was done,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “Go figure.”
Including last season, when Wade scores at least 20 points, Miami (4-2) has won 51 of their last 57 games. Wade has scored at least 20 points in his last four games, after sitting out the second game of the season for rest.
“I know I can play basketball,” Wade said. “I know when I’m healthy what I can do.”
