The New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets might not want to share the basketball crown of New York City, but for the NBA’s All-Star weekend in 2015, they’ll have no choice.
The NBA will announce that both the Knicks and the Nets will be hosts of the 2015 All-Star weekend. Friday and Saturday events for the weekend will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, while the 64th All-Star Game will be held in Knicks’ territory.
This will be the first All-Star Game in the New York City since 1998, and the weekend will help ignite the fans in the new rivalry between the Nets and Knicks.
NBA’s front office officials are expected to make the announcement at a press conference Wednesday. The festivities start Feb. 13, 2015 and the game will be held on Feb. 15, 2015.
