Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Kanye West have reportedly decided to name their new baby girl North, which would make her full name North West and thus break the “K” name tradition that has been kept alive in the Kardashian family for generations.
This is for all the fans that started complaining about the baby name Kaidence Georgia Donda West.
While that name is a lengthy mouthful at least it is an actual name and not – oh, I don’t know – a direction.
Finger crossed that this is a cruel joke Kanye is pulling on the media because kids can be crueler, and we can’t see little tykes just accepting the name North West without giving the baby girl a hard time about it.
So far TMZ is the only publication to claim they actually saw the name North on the birth certificate at the hospital.
The name comes as a shock, however, because mommy Kim denied the rumored baby name during an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
“[North is] not one of the names on our list,” she told the famous comedian.
Well, perhaps it was just on Kanye’s list and he seems like the type to throw a temper tantrum if he doesn’t get his way.
We’re hoping he’ll change his mind after he sees the how Twitter is slamming their decision.
“Kim and Kanye named their baby North West,” one user tweeted. “It’s one of the few things in Kim’s life that hasn’t gone south.”
Others made some snarky jokes about Kim’s promiscuity.
“How ironic that Kim named her baby North when we all know what direction she likes to go,” another user tweeted along with a laughing emoji.
Another critic of the name gave the couple some ridiculous options in a rather sarcastic manner.
“Really, Kim Kardashian,” another tweet read. “You named your baby North West? Were Key and Wild taken?”
To make matters worse, there is no middle name to break up the corny moniker and we aren’t too excited about the baby’s nickname either.
According to Us Weekly, family and friends will call the baby girl “Nori.”
We would have accepted the name Kucumber at this point.
There is some good news for the baby, however, and we’re going to try to say this as nicely as possible.
Sources close to the family are saying the baby looks predominantly like Kimmy K.
No salt thrown on Kanye, but when Google began to fill up with pictures of a baby girl version of Kanye, we kind of freaked out.
Either way, West is reportedly in love with the baby girl and hasn’t left his family’s side since the birth.
“Kanye is so in love with her,” another source told E! “He won’t leave her side.”
Kimye weren’t the only celebrity couple to have their baby’s name mocked by the public.
Even Queen Bey and Jay-Z had their share of baby name jokes hurled their way.
“Blue Ivy? I don’t get it,” one self-proclaimed Jay-Z fan said when they discovered the baby girl’s name.
“Are we really going to sit here and lie about Beyonce’s dumb baby name just because it’s Beyonce,” another user wrote. “How about I name my child Red Dandelion… would that still be cute?”
