On tonight’s Californication season 6 finale, “I’ll Lay My Monsters Down,” Hank makes a big decision about his future, which affects Faith. Charlie and Marcy also make a decision. The troops are rallied to ensure Atticus makes it to the Greek Theatre for his co-headlining gig with Marilyn Manson. A call from Becca and a visit from a dearly departed friend set Hank in motion.
Californication is based on a writer who tries to juggle his career, his relationship with his daughter and his ex-girlfriend, as well as his appetite for beautiful women. The troubled novelist (David Duchovny), who moved to California, suffers from writer’s block which complicates his relationships with his longtime girlfriend Karen (Natascha McElhone) and daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin).
The series was created by Tom Kapinos and stars Duchovny, McElhone, Martin, Pamela Adlon, Evan Handler and Madeline Zima. The show debuted on Showtime on August 13, 2007 and has won several awards, including winning one Emmy Award (nominated for two others) and one Golden Globe Award (nominated for three others).
