Carrie Fisher aka Princess Leia recently revealed that she’s game to appear in the newest J.J. Abram’s helmed Star Wars installment.
Cinnamon roll buns will make a comeback in 2015Both Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo respectively, have also implied their return to the newest franchise. It’s only fitting that Leia complete the original trifecta that stole the hearts of nerds everywhere in 1977.
Fisher recently sat down with Palm Beach Illustrated to discuss the potential role. First things first, Fisher officially confirmed that Princess Leia would in fact be returning to the 2015 reboot. Her male co-stars, on the other hand, have just been dancing around the issue.
However, Fisher warns, she’s not quite the same Princess Leia we remember from Star Wars IV-VI. “She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home” Fisher teases, then adds, “I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle.” I suppose that can be expected, even intergalactic warrior princesses have to age too.
More importantly, Fisher insinuated that the iconic cinnamon roll buns and metal bikini would also be back. The jury is still out on whether or not that’s a good thing.
