Hailee Steinfeld has been cast opposite Kevin Costner in an untitled new thriller. Deadline.com also reports that McG, known for Charlie’s Angels and This Means War has signed on to direct for EuropaCorp and Relativaty Media.
Kevin Costner plays a service agent who finds out he’s dying. He tries some experimental drugs which could prolong his dwindling life span, however suffers from hallucenitory side effects. He decides to go on one last mission before he dies and reunite with his estranged daughter, played by Steinfeld. The plot of this untitled thriller sounds interesting enough, I’m intrigued to hear more details as the movie production goes underway. Casting Steinfeld and Costner are two solid choices bringing together a veteran action actor and the next big actress in Hollywood.
The 15-year-old actress was known for her compelling performance in 2010’s True Grit, where she received a Supporting Actress Oscar nomination. She’s can be seen in the upcoming films Can A Song Save Your Life?, Romeo and Juliet, and the highly anticipated Ender’s Game.
Looks like Steinfeld has been a very busy girl. The actress is proving she’s here to stay in Hollywood, as she joins the ranks of other up and coming starlets of her generation, including Elle Fanning and Chloe Grace Moretz.
