Laurence Fishburne Seals Deal To Play In NBC's 'Hannibal'

Earlier in the week we posted a story that Laurence Fishburne was in negotiations to play in Hannibal. Well, the Matrix star has recently agreed to star in the the pivotal role of Jack Crawford in the human flesh eating TV series Hannibal.

Crawford is the Agent-in-Charge of the Behavioral Science Unit of the FBI in Quantico, Virginia. According to sources, Fishburne’s character is described as a “tough cop who seems to have been born to hunt serial killers and lacking the type of empathy that informs the lives of both Will and Hannibal and knows he needs Will to be his bird-dog. His greatest mission is to stop sociopaths before they kill more — even if that means sacrificing Will’s psyche in the process.”

The story of Hannibal revolves around characters in Harris’ novel “Red Dragon”.  The TV show focuses on the early relationship between FBI agent Will Graham and his mentor Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Mads Mikkelsen will play Hannibal, while Hugh Dancy will take on the role as Graham.
