'Big Love' Star Chloe Sevigny Joins Season 2 Of 'American Horror Story'

Chloe Sevigny will join season 2 of American Horror Story, according to Hollywood Reporter.

EW first reported that The Big Love star was in negotiations with producers of American Horror Story to play a character named Shelly, the nymphomaniac and  a mortal enemy of Jessica Lange’s character.  HR reported the negotiations have been finalized and Sevigny is a confirmed member of the season 2 cast.

Sevigny reportedly was in high demand for the role, so much so, writers and producers of American Horror Story wrote the part with her in mind.

Season 2 of the drama series, which is created by Glee co-creaters, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, is said to feature a completely different premise from season 1. While many of the old actors will return, they will play completely different roles, in a different East Coast location. Murphy revealed the show will take place in an institution for the criminally insane run by Lange’s character.

Chloe Sevigny  starred on HBO’s hit drama series Big Love from 2006-11 . She recently made a cameo on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU. The actress will join the ranks of Lange,  Adam Levine, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe and Sarah Paulson in the new season.

American Horror Story is scheduled to begin shooting this summer.
