Many fans of The Bachelor were shocked that Courtney Robertson walked away with Ben Flajnik’s final rose on Monday’s night season finale; however, not expecting this to happen may be the only reason these fans tuned-in the show in the first place.
So, did viewers dislike Courtney so much that they refuse to watch Flajnik reject Lindzi Cox for her. Judging by the ratings this may be the case. The ABC dating series dropped 40 percent from last season’s finale, achieving an all-time low in the show’s finale viewership!
The two-hour finale drew 9.1 million viewers and a 2.9 rating in the adults 18-to-49 demo. The Bachelor: After the Final Rose special was viewed by 9.8 million people and received a 3.3 rating in the demo, also suffering a 30 percent drop from last year.
Dismal ratings for The Bachelor finale was not the only example of “nothing last forever.” During the broadcast of After the Final Rose, Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson revealed they had already split for a number of weeks immediately after taping of the show. Still, the couple claims they are back together.
